Wednesday's injury report: A big name does not practice

Delanie Walker sat at his locker prior to Wednesday’s workout with a sizable – and impossible to overlook – brace on his left knee.
Then the Pro Bowl tight end sat out the day’s practice session.
Walker was the most notable of the Tennessee Titans listed on Wednesday’s injury report and one of three who were listed as “did not participate.” He did not address his health with reporters and the team does not provide access to players or coaches following a practice session.
Also out were special teams ace Daren Bates and guard Kevin Pamphile. Starting inside linebacker Rashaan Evans was a limited participant with a wrist injury sustained in last Thursday’s loss at Jacksonville.
On the plus side, linebacker Wesley Woodyard, who could not play Thursday due to a quad injury, was a full participant.
Walker is the Titans’ leading receiver through three games with 16 receptions for 158 yards and two touchdowns. He sustained a season-ending ankle injury in the 2018 opener but prior to that he missed just four games in five years with Tennessee.
The only other tight end to catch any passes from quarterback Marcus Mariota this season is Jonnu Smith, who has three for 27 yards and no touchdowns, unless you count offensive lineman David Quessenberry, who caught a touchdown pass against Indianapolis when he was lined up as an extra tight end.
