49ers' tight end George Kittle read the writing on the wall when he saw how COVID-19 had struck Italy, so he made sure he was prepared with an indoor gym all in his home. SI's Kaitlin O'Toole is joined by All49ers' Grant Cohn to break down George Kittle's set up and all the work he's putting in during the virtual offseason.

Kaitlin O'Toole: So many athletes are doing their best to stay in shape as the sports world has been on pause from the coronavirus. Some are even turning two-car garages into gyms. Joining me now from All49ers is Grant Cohn. Grant, 49ers tight end George Kittle has created the ultimate home gym for this unusual offseason. What are your thoughts on this?

Grant Cohn: Well, this is who George Kittle is. Remember, he came into the league as a fifth-round pick. He hardly caught any passes in college and he works in the offseason and catches up. His rookie year, he was pretty good. Then he came back his second year and was one of the best players in the league. He always catches up. So I wouldn't be surprised if he did it again this year. What's interesting about what he's doing is from what I've heard, lots and lots of players have had a very difficult time finding and ordering weightlifting equipment online because it's sold out everywhere. So he was ahead of the curve. He beat his competitors to the punch and he may progress past everyone like he does every offseason. So what else is new?

Kaitlin O'Toole: So something he said about the offseason, on that note, is this is where you can really excel and pass others. What do you think that we're going to see out of him this upcoming season?

Grant Cohn: Well, there's going to be an interesting season because lots of professional athletes won't be in the best shape of their lives. They won't be in the best condition of their lives. They just aren't around the team, and they don't have the work ethic and the home gym that George Kittle does. I would expect that George Kittle is going to be the greatest shape, as he's ever been and maybe the best shape of his career. And if that's the case, he should have a giant leg up on the rest of the league.

Kaitlin O'Toole: Grant, great insight. Thank you so much for joining us. We appreciate it.
