The legend of Joe Montana has grown. Same for his wife, Jennifer, after the two blocked the attempted kidnapping of their 9-month old grandchild over the weekend.

The Montanas told Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies that their grandchild was sleeping in a playpen Saturday when an unknown woman entered their home and grabbed the child. Joe and Jennifer attempted to de-escalate the situation before Jenninfer was able to pry the child away from who was later identified as Sodsai Dalzell.

Joe would let the public know everyone was doing well via social media, Tweeting his appreciation for public support during a, “scary situation.”
