In this story:

Vikings cornerback Akayleb Evans is out for the second consecutive week with a calf strain. That means rookie Mekhi Blackmon, who gave up a couple big catches against the Broncos last week, is in line for another start.

Evans has had a strong second season for the Vikings, but it makes sense to hold him out for this game with the bye week coming up. Byron Murphy Jr., Blackmon and Andrew Booth Jr. are the Vikings' options at cornerback against Justin Fields and the Chicago offense. Veteran Joejuan Williams was not elevated from the practice squad.

The full inactive list for the Vikings:

  • CB Akayleb Evans
  • TE Nick Muse
  • LB Nick Vigil
  • G Chris Reed
  • T Hakeem Adeniji

QB Jaren Hall is technically inactive but will serve as the emergency third QB behind Josh Dobbs and Nick Mullens. Justin Jefferson won't play, but he's not on this list because he has yet to be activated from injured reserve.

It's notable to see Lewis Cine active for the Vikings. He's typically been a healthy scratch in recent weeks. However, he'll presumably only play on special teams, as he's still fourth on the safety depth chart behind Harrison Smith, Camryn Bynum, Josh Metellus, and Theo Jackson.

Inactive for the Bears:

  • RB D'Onta Foreman
  • CB Tyrique Stevenson
  • OL Larry Borom
  • LB Noah Sewell
  • QB Nathan Peterman
  • DB Quindell Johnson
  • DL Dominique Robinson

Kickoff from U.S. Bank Stadium is at 7:15 p.m. CT on ESPN and ABC.
