Vikings News: Jordan Addison, Everson Griffen, Upcoming Roster Move?

In this story:
It's training camp week. The Vikings are about to get going on their preparations for the 2023 season. Nearly half of the roster reported to camp on Sunday and the rest will join on Tuesday, with the first practice of camp taking place on Wednesday.
Let's get caught up on some recent Vikings news and rumors.
Jordan Addison apologizes
Vikings rookie wide receiver and first-round pick Jordan Addison got into trouble last Thursday when he was cited for speeding and reckless driving shortly after 3 a.m. in St. Paul. He was apparently driving 140 miles per hour in a 55 MPH zone in his Lamborghini. Addison seems unlikely to be suspended by the NFL or the team, but hopefully he'll learn a lesson.
Addison told the state trooper who stopped him that an emergency with his dog was the reason he was speeding, according to the Star Tribune.
"Yesterday morning I made a mistake and used poor judgment, I recognize and own that," Addison said in a statement released on Friday. "I am going to learn from this and not repeat the behavior. I am truly sorry."
Everson Griffen arrested
Former Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen was arrested in Chanhassen, MN, on Saturday afternoon for driving under the influence. It's a fourth degree DUI charge, which is a misdemeanor in Minnesota. He was booked and subsequently released an hour later.
Griffen, a four-time Pro Bowler with the Vikings, last played in 2021. He dealt with some major off-the-field mental health issues late in his playing career, announcing in December 2021 that he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
Another roster move coming?
The Vikings signed veteran tight end Colin Thompson on Monday — and they might have another addition coming soon. Insider Aaron Wilson says they "have at least one other pending roster move after a physical."
Thompson was one of nine players who tried out for the Vikings this weekend. The others are TE Sal Cannella, OT Rashaad Coward, Gs Bobby Evans, Travis Sinclair, and Jack Snyder, C/G Sean Harlow, DT David Moore, and QB Reece Udinski.
There are 90 players currently on Minnesota's roster, but a spot remains open because international player Junior Aho does not count towards the 90-man limit.
