Justin Jefferson is back.

The Vikings' superstar wide receiver, the reigning NFL offensive player of the year, is making his highly-anticipated return today as Minnesota takes on the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. He'll be catching passes from Josh Dobbs for the first time, so it'll be fascinating to see what kind of connection those two can forge.

The Vikings considered changing their quarterback after Dobbs threw four interceptions against the Bears a couple weeks ago. But as they reviewed things over the bye week, they decided to stick with Dobbs in the hopes that he can bounce back and take care of the football better. Having Jefferson at his disposal will provide a very nice boost.

There's a ton of purple in the crowd today for the Vikings' first-ever regular season game in Vegas. This is a big one for their playoff hopes, considering that a third straight loss would drop the Vikings below .500 and make the task of reaching the postseason a tough one with four games left. A win would set Minnesota up to likely just need two wins in the final four to get in.

This should be an interesting game. Not only will the Dobbs-Jefferson connection be fun to watch, the Vikings' excellent Brian Flores-led defense should be able to make things happen against Raiders rookie QB Aidan O'Connell. The Raiders are three-point home underdogs, but they have stars like Davante Adams and Maxx Crosby who are always dangerous.

Final Score: Vikings 3, Raiders 0

Vikings 3, Raiders 0

13:14 — The Vikings just punted for the sixth time. Is anyone going to score in this game?

Third quarter

0:00 — This game is scoreless after three quarters. It's the first time a Vikings game hasn't had any points entering the fourth quarter since 1971. It's the first 0-0 NFL game after three quarters since 2017.

4:37 — Another punt for the Vikings. Dalton Risner just hobbled off the field, meaning the Vikings are down 3/5ths of their starting offensive line right now.

9:00 — The Vikings come away with the first takeaway of the game for either team at a crucial time. The Raiders were in the red zone when Josh Metellus forced a Hunter Renfrow fumble and Mekhi Blackmon recovered it.

12:19 — The Vikings just punted again. Alexander Mattison might also be hurt. And the team announced that Justin Jefferson has been taken to a local hospital out of precaution with his chest injury.

5:32 — The Vikings' best drive of the day — outside of Jefferson getting hurt — ends in a missed 49-yard field goal by Greg Joseph. As is often the case with Joseph, he missed wide right.

8:00 — Justin Jefferson just took a huge hit on his second catch of the day and he's headed to the locker room with trainers.

13:45 — This has been a brutal start for the Vikings' offense. Josh Dobbs has been sacked three times on six dropbacks and hasn't yet completed a pass.

First quarter

0:00 — The Vikings got another stop on defense and just picked up a couple first downs before the first quarter came to an end. Ivan Pace Jr. was the star of that quarter with eight total tackles.

5:49 — This game has started with a couple punts. The Raiders were moving the ball and took up nearly half the first quarter on the game's opening drive before committing a holding penalty and taking a sack. Then the Vikings got the ball and went three and out in just over a minute.
