Ahead of the Vikings' 2023 training camp beginning in late July, we'll be taking a look at every player on the 90-man roster, counting down from 99 to 0 (excluding the UDFAs, who we've already profiled). For every player, we'll look at the best and worst-case scenarios and their realistic outlook for the upcoming season.

No. 79: Vederian Lowe, OT

Age: 24 | Size: 6'6", 320

The Vikings took Illinois's Vederian Lowe in the sixth round of the 2022 draft, adding to their depth at offensive tackle. A five-year starter in the Big Ten, he racked up 52 college starts at left tackle. Lowe had a mediocre preseason, earning a 53.6 PFF grade on 62 snaps. He got an opportunity to make his regular season debut on special teams late in the year, then struggled across 33 offensive snaps in the finale against the Bears.

Best-case scenario: Lowe has a better preseason and is there if needed as a competent backup.

Worst-case scenario: The struggles continue in the preseason and Lowe gets cut to the practice squad.

Outlook for 2023: Lowe has the size and experience to be a solid depth piece at tackle. The Vikings are set with Christian Darrisaw and Brian O'Neill for a long time, so they hope Lowe never ends up in the starting lineup for an extended period.
