In this story:

Christian Darrisaw's incredible breakout 2022 season deserved to end in postseason Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors. Unfortunately, concussions cost him three full games and parts of two others, which likely ended any chances he had at that kind of recognition.

Darrisaw had a legitimate case as the best offensive tackle in football last year when he was on the field. After two mediocre games to start the season, he was brilliant for the rest of the year, earning a PFF grade of at least 80 in seven of his final 12 appearances.

Recently, PFF's Dalton Wasserman included Darrisaw on a list of the NFL's best players without a Pro Bowl to their name.

Darrisaw broke out in a big way after a solid rookie season in 2021. Last season, his 90.4 overall grade was second in the NFL behind future Hall of Famer Trent Williams. If you take out two pedestrian performances during the first two games of the season, Darrisaw was actually the highest-graded tackle in football. He’ll be a household name very soon.

Heading into 2023, Darrisaw should have a good chance to make his first Pro Bowl if he can stay healthy and continue playing at the level he showed in his second season. In an effort to prevent concussion issues, he'll be wearing a new specialty helmet this year. Based on what Darrisaw put on tape last year, he should even have a shot at being one of the four tackles to make an All-Pro team.

Something tells me Darrisaw, who just turned 24 this month, is going to earn plenty of honors over the remainder of this decade.
