Schmitt of U.S. wins women's 200-meter free gold

LONDON, July 31 (Reuters) - Allison Schmitt of the United States won the women's 200 metres freestyle Olympic title at the London Games on Tuesday.

France's Camille Muffat won the silver while Australia's Bronte Barratt clinched bronze.
