Jordyn Wieber of the U.S. vaults during the first rotation of Olympic team finals today. All three gymnasts -- Wieber, Gabby Douglas and McKayla Maroney -- nailed their vaults to help Team USA clinch the gold.

The U.S. team began its quest for gold all-around with a series of vaults. Going into the final rotation, Team USA lead Russia by 1.3 points. After some errors by the Russian team during floor exercise, the U.S. women won the gold medal in team finals.

The Fab Five clinched a team all-around gold medal for the U.S. for the first time since 1996.

The strain of their task came through loud and clear on the faces of the competitors in the women's 63-kilogram weightlifting event. Maiya Maneza of Kazakhstan (top row, second from right) took the gold with an Olympic record total of 245 kilograms.
