Ajax, Manchester United finalize transfer of Daley Blind

Manchester United and Ajax have finalized a deal to send Daley Blind to United, the clubs announced Monday.

Blind, who had been at Ajax since his youth career, joins Man U on a four-year contract for a £14 million transfer fee.

With United, Blind will play for Louis van Gaal, his coach with the Netherlands national team.

"It is a real honor to sign for Manchester United," Blind said in a statement.  "I have been at Ajax since I was seven years old and I will always have very fond memories of the club and of my time there."

Blind won the Golden Boot as the best player in the Eredivisie last season.
