Tomlinson Named Starter Against Former Team

LaDainian Tomlinson will get his first start of the season Sunday when his former team, the San Diego Chargers, visits the Jets, according to NFL.com.

Tomlinson has acted as a backup and primary third down back for most of the season, with Shonn Greene getting the bulk of the action. But with Greene being largely ineffective, Jets coach Rex Ryan hope that the 11-year veteran can give his sputtering offense a spark.

Regardless of the reason, the obvious story line will be Tomlinson playing his former team. Still, he claims to hold no ill will towards the Chargers.
