Denver Broncos running back Willis McGahee will reportedly miss 1-2 weeks after undergoing surgery to repair his broken hand, according to NBC Sports.

McGahee was injured in the Broncos remarkable comeback 18-15 victory against the Miami Dolphins Sunday afternoon. The 30-year-old had rushed for 76 yards on 18 attempts before leaving the game.

In just six games this season McGahee had already eclipsed his rushing yards total of the previous season (380), by collecting 460 yards on the ground in 103 rushing attempts. Prior to his injury the first-year Bronco was on pace to have rushed for 1000-or-more yards on his third NFL team, having previously eclipsed that mark with the Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Ravens. With McGahee out Denver is likely to lean on 2009 first round pick Knowshon Moreno. Moreno has rushed for just 54 yards this season on 17 carries.
