According to TMZ.com, basketball legend Julius Erving, better known as Dr. J, is holding an auction to sell some of his unique memorabilia.

The items being auctioned include the rings from his NBA and ABA championships, game-used jerseys, and his 1980-1981 NBA MVP trophy, among many more esoteric items.

A portion of any proceeds raised will go to the Salvation Army; it is unclear if this auction is tied to the lawsuit that was recently filed against Eving by a Georgia bank.
