Report: Heat Owner Arison Fined for Tweet

Miami Heat owner Micky Arison has been fined $500,000 by the league, according to Adrian Wojnarowski. Arison's back and forth with fans on Twitter seemingly led to the fine.

On Friday, Arison answered a tweet from an angry fan who asked: "How's it feel to be apart of ruining the best game in the world? NBA owners/players don't give a damn about fans ... and guess what? Fans provide all the money you're fighting over ... you greedy (expletive) pigs."

Arison replied simply: "You are barking at the wrong owner." Soon after, Arison deleted the tweet that appears to show a disconnect between fellow owner. Later, a user suggested that having a league with 32 competitive teams is an "unrealistic and stupid" idea, Arison retweeted the comment and added a smiling face emoticon. He deleted that tweet, as well.

He clarified the later tweet, saying that the retweet was in response to the mistake made by the person who initially left the comment. There are 30 NBA teams, not 32.
