Report: Patriots Receiver Edelman Arrested For Assault

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman has reportedly been arrested for indecent assault on a woman, the Boston Globe reports.

According to the paper, Edelman was arrested by local police after they were called to a nightclub at 1:30 am Tuesday morning to investigate an assault report. The wide receiver is expected to be arraigned today in Boston Municipal Court.

This season in four games for the Patriots, the 25-year-old has tallied three receptions for 25 yards. He has also served as a punt and kick returner for New England, registering a total of 319 return yards on the year.
