Chargers G Kris Dielman Placed On IR With Concussion

The San Diego Chargers have placed guard Kris Dielman on injured reserve, according to ESPN. The Pro Bowler suffered a concussion several weeks ago against the New York Jets.

Dielman suffered a seizure on the team’s charter flight back to San Diego after the game. As a result of the incident, the NFL began instructing officials to be aware of concussion symptoms in players who may have received a blow to the head.

In the Chargers’ loss to the Jets,  Dielman played the entirety of the game despite suffering the concussion with 12 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. ESPN reports that in the game’s final minutes, Deilman struggled to maintain his balance.
