Peyton Hillis To Sit Out At Least One More Week For Browns

Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis will sit out this coming weekend’s matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to The Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Sunday will mark the sixth consecutive game the Browns have suited up without Hillis, the team’s leading rusher in the 2010-11 season. The 25-year-old has been battling with a poor hamstring, among other ailments, which has made it hard for him to practice consistently with the team. According to reports, he has made little progress at all since last week.

Two weeks ago it appeared Hillis was on pace return to the line-up, however he re-injured his hamstring while making a routine up-the-middle run at practice. In four games this season, Hillis has ran for 211 yards on 60 carries. He has recorded just two touchdowns.
