Free-agent safety Darren Sharper plans to retire, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Sharper most recently played with the New Orleans Saints last season.

Drafted in the second round of the 1997 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers, Sharper is a member of the NFL’s 2000s All-Decade Team. He played for three teams in his 14-year career: Green Bay, Minnesota and New Orleans.
