Report: NFL Fines Bills WR Steve Johnson $10,000 For Questionable Celebration

The NFL has reportedly fined Buffalo Bills receiver Steve Johnson $10,000 for his touchdown celebration in last weekend’s loss to the New York Jets, sources tell ESPN.com.

Johnson celebrated his touchdown by mocking Jets receiver Plaxico Burress. Johnson mimicked shooting himself in the tight after scoring in the first half. Burress served 20 months in jail stemming from a 2008 incident in which he accidentally shot himself in the leg at a New York City nightclub.

Johnson continued his celebration by imitating a crashing jet. For the excessive celebration, the Bills were penalized 15 yards on the kickoff. The Jets then scored to tie the game a minute later.
