Report: Caron Butler Agrees To Three-Year, $24 Million Deal With Clippers

Caron Butler has agreed to a three-year, $24 million contract with the Los Angeles Clippers, according to NBA insider David Aldridge.

The small forward played in just 29 games with the Dallas Mavericks last season before sustaining a season-ending knee injury.  That injury, however, did not dissuade teams such as Dallas, the San Antonio Spurs and Chicago Bulls from pursuing him.

Last season, Butler averaged 15 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game for the Mavericks. His best season came in 2007-08 when he averaged 20.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.9 assists for the Washington Wizards.
