Lakers' F Derrick Caracter Tears Meniscus

Los Angeles Lakers' forward Derrick Caracter tore his lateral meniscus in his left knee during practice Monday, the team announced Tuesday.

Caracter will have surgery Wednesday, after which the team will announce a prognosis and a timetable for his return.
