Kobe Bryant expects to play in Lakers' opener

Los Angeles Laker superstar Kobe Bryant said Thursday that he expects to play when the Lakers open their season against the Chicago Bulls Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Times. Bryant sustained the injury in an exhibition game with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Bryant tore a ligament in his wrist when he went up for a dunk Monday, and he sat out practice Thursday, the paper reports.
