Patriots G Logan Mankins Suffers Sprained MCL

New England Patriots starting left guard Logan Mankins has suffered a sprained MCL in his left knee, according to the Boston Herald.

Mankins injured the knee in the Patriots’ come-from-behind victory over the Miami Dolphins last weekend. According to the Herald, the Pro Bowl guard will miss the club’s regular season finale, but hopes to return for the playoffs.

The 29-year-old was named to the Pro Bowl in 2007, 2009, and 2010, and was named an All-Pro in 2007 and 2010. After being drafted in the first round by the Patriots in 2005, he was named to the New England Patriots All-2000’s Team and the New England Patriots 50th anniversary team.
