Bears Place Jay Cutler, Matt Forte On Injured Reserve
The Chicago Bears have placed quarterback Jay Cutler and running back Matt Forte on the injured reserve, according to a tweet from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Forte injured his right knee in a 3-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13. The 26-year-old running back had run for 997 yards and three touchdowns before falling to injury.
Cutler broke his right thumb in a Week 11 win over the San Diego Chargers. Since his absence the Bears have lost five games in a row. Cutler had thrown for 2319 yards, 13 touchdowns and seven interceptions before his injury.
