Ben Roethlisberger Hopes To Play Sunday Against Browns

The Pittsburgh Steelers have their backs up against the wall in their quest to overtake the Baltimore Ravens and win the AFC North. With that in mind, Ben Roethlisberger is hoping to play through the pain in his sprained left ankle and play Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.

“I don’t want to let the guys down, so I’ll do what I can to be out there,” Roethlisberger told the Associated Press today.

Roethlisberger sprained the ankle on Dec. 8 in the Steelers’ last meeting with the Browns. He struggled on Dec. 19 against the 49ers, throwing three interceptions and losing 20-3, and he sat out the Steelers' win over the Rams on Christmas Eve. He's now angling for a return in Sunday's season finale.
