Antawn Jamison Would Like To Finish His Career In Charlotte

Former NBA All-Star Antawn Jamison told the Charlotte Observer that his dream was to finish his career with the Bobcats.

"That's always been a dream of mine — to be home' (in Charlotte)' Jamison told the Observer. "To have my parents there (at home games), to have my kids there.''

Jamison, 35, was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers by the Washington Wizards in part to allow the longtime veteran to attempt to win his first NBA championship alongside LeBron James. When James opted to take his talents to the Miami Heat following the 2009-10 season, Jamison stuck around to help Cleveland with their rebuilding efforts.

Through five games this season, Jamison has averaged 16.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per game for the Cavs. Last year in 56 games he averaged 18 points and 6.7 rebounds per contest.

The former University of North Carolina star has been named to two All-Star teams in his career, both with the Wizards, and was named the 2003-04 NBA Sixth Man of the Year when playing for the Dallas Mavericks.
