Report: Colts Will Draft Andrew Luck

The Indianapolis Colts have decided to draft Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck, according to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.

According to Mortensen, Colts owner Jim Irsay sees symmetry between drafting Luck and the selection of Peyton Manning 14 years ago.

Manning’s future in Indianapolis is in doubt after missing the entire 2011 season with a neck injury. The Colts went 2-14 and earned the first overall pick in the draft.; after the season, Irsay fired general manager Chris Polian and his father, vice chairman Bill Polian.

It was reported on Saturday that both Manning and the Colts are willing to push back the deadline for Manning’s $28 million option bonus.
