Report: Jaguars hire Falcons' assistant Mike Mularkey

Wednesday January 11th, 2012

The Jacksonville Jaguars will hire Mike Mularkey as their next head coach, according to the Florida Times-Union. Mularkey has been the offensive coordinator of the Atlanta Falcons since 2008.

The report indicates that a major draw for the Jaguars was Mularkey's ability to mold Matt Ryan into a top tier NFL quarterback. Jacksonvile started rookie Blaine Gabbert for most of the season at quarterback and they hope Mularkey can have the same success.
