Undercover Cops Will Wear Giants Gear During NFC Title Game In San Francisco

When the New York Giants visit San Francisco tomorrow for the NFC Championship Game, the visitors' cheering section won't be the only ones wearing Big Blue -- the local police will be decked out in Giants garb as a means of deterring fan violence.

In response to several complaints of threatening behavior made by visiting Saints fans during the 49ers' 36-32 win last week, the Niners have bolstered their security efforts at Candlestick Park. In addition to the undercover cops, the Giants fans will be protected by more security cameras and cards with police contact information.

"We'll be looking early on to identify people trying to do those things in the parking areas and take action to remove them," NFL security director Jeff Miller told the New York Post. "We're not going to be warning people inside the stadium. They will be removed."
