Carmelo Anthony Doubtful For Tuesday's Game Against Pistons

New York Knicks star forward Carmelo Anthony is again doubtful for the Knicks as the club faces the Detroit Pistons Tuesday.

Anthony sat out this weekend’s games against the Miami Heat and the Houston Rockets with a series of ailments. Last Tuesday against the Charlotte Bobcats he posted a career low in scoring with just one point. The following evening against the Cleveland Cavaliers, he scored fifteen points on just 5/14 shooting.  As a result, Knicks head coach Mike D’Antoni has given him the next several games off to rest his various injuries.

In 17 games this season Anthony is averaging 23.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 4.3 assists a game for the Knicks, who have stumbled early to a 7-11 record. Over the course of his career he has averaged 24.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists.

The Knicks have lost their last three games in a row, failing to score more than 90 points in any contest. They are currently 7-13 on the season.
