Mark Cuban Fined $75,000 For Comments About Officials

Update – 10:59 AM: ESPN Dallas has reported that the league has also fined head coach Rick Carlisle $35,000 for his actions in the Mavericks’ loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Carlisle received two technical fouls in the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s game, the second coming after he kicked the game ball into the stands after a missed call.

Original - 10:45 AM: Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was fined $75,000 by the NBA today after criticizing the performance of the league's referees after a Feb. 1 game.

Following a 95-76 home loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Cuban told ESPN Dallas:

"All I'm saying is some of these guys are bad. Let me rephrase that. Some of these guys are having really bad nights, and it's having an impact. The league's got to come out and say, 'OK, look, we understand they're going through some tough travel or whatever. It's just the way it is.' Otherwise, if that's not an impact, you have to wonder how some of these crews are still on the court."
