Mavs' Jason Kidd Returns After Six-Game Absence With Strained Calf

The Dallas Mavericks have their point guard back -- after a six-game absence, Jason Kidd is returning tonight to face the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Kidd had been sidelined since Jan. 27, when he suffered a right calf strain in a win over the Utah Jazz. He also suffered from a back injury earlier this season.

Kidd is playing 28.7 minutes per game for the Mavericks, a career low. He's averaging just 4.1 points, 5.1 assists and 4.5 rebounds. He turns 39 next month.
