Floyd Mayweather: Jeremy Lin Gets More Attention Because He Is Asian

Fox Sports writer Jason Whitlock was forced to apologize this weekend after making a controversial remark on Twitter about New York Knicks guard Jeremy Lin’s Asian-American heritage. Boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr. may have to do the same after recently tweeting that Lin gets more attention than African American players because of his racial background.

Lin, 23, has exploded on to the basketball scene over the past few days after coming out of relative obscurity to help the floundering New York Knicks claim five straight victories. He has done so without the help of Amar'e Stoudemire or Carmelo Anthony. The undrafted Harvard graduate has averaged 26.8 points and eight assists per game in that span.
