Report: Reggie Wayne Would Be Open To Signing With Miami Dolphins

Wide receiver Reggie Wayne would be open to signing a contract with the Miami Dolphins, a source has told the Sun Sentinel.

Wayne could potentially become an unrestricted free-agent March 13 should the Indianapolis Colts choose not to tender him a contract. The 33-year-old receiver played his college ball for the Miami Hurricanes and currently maintains his offseason residence in the city, potentially making South Beach a perfect fit for the former Pro Bowler.

The acquisition of Wayne could also serve as a tool to help entice soon-to-be free-agent quarterback Peyton Manning to sign with the team. Manning is expected to be let go by the Colts today, and the Dolphins are believed to be one of his biggest suitors.
