Report: Some Lakers Losing Faith In Head Coach Mike Brown

The Los Angeles Lakers have lost back-to-back games this week against Eastern Conference doormats in Detroit and Washington, and evidently, the embarrassment is getting to them. Sources tell ESPN L.A. that some Lakers are losing faith in coach Mike Brown.

According to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne, there is "growing concern among some Lakers players as to whether first-year coach Mike Brown and his staff have the X-and-O wherewithal to fix" the Lakers' offense. The Lakers are averaging 103.6 points per 100 possessions this season, 15th-most in the NBA. They were sixth in the league last year, under previous head coach Phil Jackson. They scored just 85 points in an overtime loss Tuesday to the Pistons.

Part of the problem is the coach's system -- Jackson and his triangle offense were an institution in L.A. for 11 years. There's a growing sentiment that the Lakers would like to bring back the triangle days.
