Report: Blazers And Clippers Talking About Potential Deal For Jamal Crawford

The Portland Trail Blazers and the Los Angeles Clippers are negotiating a deal that would potentially send Jamal Crawford to Los Angeles for Eric Bledsoe and Ryan Gomes, according to Ken Berger of CBS Sports.

Crawford, 31, has averaged 14.3 points and 3.8 assists this season in his first year with the Blazers. If the Clippers are able to acquire him, he could potentially fill the whole that was left when guard Chauncey Billups  went down with a torn Achillies tendon earlier this year. Billups was averaging 15 points and 4.0 assists per game before the injury.

Currently, Bledsoe and Gomes are playing minimal minutes off the bench. Bledsoe, who averaged 22 minutes per game last season before the team acquired point guard Chris Paul, is playing just seven-and-a-half minutes per game in 2011-12.
