Wednesday March 14th, 2012

Mike D’Antoni has resigned as the head coach of the New York Knicks, according to Sam Amick of Sports Illustrated.

An earlier report today from the New York Post cited a confidant of Carmelo Anthony’s that said the star forward wanted Mike D’Antoni gone. The source also indicated that if D’Antoni was not removed by next season, then Anthony would seek a trade. These rumors were later denied by Anthony’s agent.
