The Los Angeles Lakers are close to a trade involving Minnesota Timberwolves forward Michael Beasley, according to the Orange County Register.

The three-team trade could force the Lakers to give up their back-up point guard, Steve Blake, as well as a first round draft pick to the  Portland Trail Blazers. Portland would, in turn,  send guard Jamal Crawford to Minnesota.

“This is the first time I have heard this name today.”  Lakers head coach Mike Brown told reporters about the potential trade.
