Magic's Glen Davis Fined $35K For Making Obscene Gesture
Orlando Magic big man has been fined $35,000 for making an obscene gesture toward the crowd in Toronto during Monday night's win over the Raptors, according to Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel.
"Big Baby" appeared to direct a middle finger at a fan midway through the second quarter of Monday's game, but he denied any intent to express obscenity.
"No, I had blood on my hands," Davis said Monday night. "It was my middle finger, so I think they thought I was flipping somebody off, but I wasn't. I was getting blood off my finger." Davis' story checks out -- he had been hit on the head, and he later needed five stitches to close a laceration. There was blood found later on his head and fingertips. Nevertheless, Davis is out 35 grand.
