Report: Knicks May Start Mike Bibby Over Baron Davis In Playoffs

The New York Knicks' starting point guard situation has been a mess this season, as the job's been held by everyone from Toney Douglas to Iman Shumpert to -- of course -- Jeremy Lin. Now with Lin injured, Baron Davis has taken over. Now there's a fifth name in the mix -- Knicks reporter Marc Berman says that Mike Bibby may become the Knicks' starter in the postseason.

"In games like this, you need a stable guy out there that can direct traffic," interim coach Mike Woodson told Berman. "He played a lot of minutes. I thought he was solid all the way through in terms of running our offense."

Bibby had eight assists and only one turnover in 36 minutes of work as the Knicks stomped the New Jersey Nets last night. With the nagging injuries to Davis, Woodson may bestow Bibby with more minutes going forward.
