Report: Knicks' Iman Shumpert Has Torn ACL

There's more bad news on the NBA injury front -- just hours after it was revealed that Derrick Rose was done for the season with a torn ACL, there's now word that Iman Shumpert of the New York Knicks has suffered the same injury. Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports has the scoop:

Shumpert suffered the injury when he bumped into Dwyane Wade midway through the third quarter of the Knicks' Game 1 loss to the Miami Heat today. He had to be helped off the floor; he was later examined by team doctors before being taken to a local hospital for an MRI.

Shumpert was a key member of the Knicks' rotation as a rookie this season -- in addition to averaging 9.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists, he was also known as the team's elite perimeter defender.
