Clippers' Caron Butler Likely Done For Playoffs With Broken Hand
We have an injury update on Caron Butler of the L.A. Clippers -- it is indeed a fractured hand, and Butler is likely out for the rest of the playoffs, the team announced today.
Butler sustained the injury in the third quarter of the Clips' comeback Game 1 win over the Memphis Grizzlies -- he got caught in Rudy Gay's jersey coming off a screen, and the hand was stuck. Butler broke the fifth metacarpal in his left hand; an X-ray taken later in the game confirmed the injury.
The Clippers said today that Butler is expected to be sidelined four to six weeks.
