Ray Allen "Optimistic" About Playing In Game 3 Against Hawks
Boston Celtics shooting guard Ray Allen is optimistic that he’ll be able to play in Game 3 of the team’s opening round series against the Atlanta Hawks tonight, according to the Boston Herald.
“Injuries are tough and we all deal with them, but I like the way I feel right now,” Allen told the paper.
“I’m in a good place, so I’m optimistic. I deal with the days as they come. I am optimistic about playing and that is a great step forward.”
Allen has not played since April 10 due to a sore right ankle. The 35-year-old All-Star was averaging 14.2 points and 3.1 rebounds per contest before the injury.
