NBA Draft Lottery to be held May 30 in New York City

The NBA Draft Lottery will be held at Times Square Studios in New York City on May 30, according to a release by ESPN. ESPN will provide coverage during the Kia NBA countdown pregame show with the lottery being held at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The lottery, won last season by the Cleveland Cavaliers, will precede Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals slated to start at 8:30 ET. The Cavaliers selected Duke guard Kyrie Irving, who went on the win the NBA Rookie of the Year Award.  The Charlotte Bobcats, who had the worst winning percentage in NBA history (.106) have the best odds of the #1 pick.

The Lottery will be available on ESPN Radio, ESPN3, ESPN Mobile TV and via the WatchESPN app.

Host Mark Jones will be joined by ESPN college basketball analyst Jay Bilas, with Heather Cox doing additional reporting.  NBA Kia Countdown Studio analysts Magic Johnson, Jon Barry, Michael Wilbon and Chris Broussard will offer analysis and feedback.

The NBA Draft will be held June 28.
