A "plugged-in league source" told Chris Sheridan of SheridanHoops.com that the Orlando Magic has finally decided to part ways with All-Star center Dwight Howard, with the team likely to begin soliciting trade offers after next week's draft lottery.

The source said that when the Magic team president traveled to Michigan last weekend to speak in person with owner Rich DeVos, the conclusion was reached that not only was it time for [coach] Stan Van Gundy and [general manager] Otis Smith to go, but Howard, too.
