Report: New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith dating Rihanna

Pop star Rihanna has been linked to entertainers including Chris Brown and Drake in the past, but the singer has reportedly returned to the sports world to find her latest love interest. Rihanna, who formerly dated Los Angeles Dodgers star Matt Kemp, is now dating New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith, sources tell the New York Daily News.

A source told the newspaper that the pair were “definitely hanging out” in Miami over the holiday weekend. Smith was arrested on Thursday over an outstanding bench warrant, but he reportedly paid his bond and was released on Friday.

In Touch magazine reported earlier this month that the pair were dating.

Smith joined the Knicks midway through this season after he played in China during the lockout. He averaged 12.5 points per game off the bench with New York.

Rihanna had recently been linked to actors Shia LeBeouf and Ashton Kutcher.
