As reported by Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News, Kidd seems intrigued by the idea of playing with fellow free agent point guard Deron Williams.

Williams played for the Nets last season, and various reports have pointed to his displeasure that the team has failed to land center Dwight Howard in a trade. Williams is also a Texas native, leading some to believe he would strongly consider the Mavericks.
