Report: Magic, Rockets not as close on a Dwight Howard trade as speculated

Sources tell David Aldridge of NBA.com that the Orlando Magic and Houston Rockets are not as close on a Dwight Howard trade as has been speculated.

Two sources told Aldridge that talks between the clubs have been suspended. "There's nothing happening," one said.

Moreover, a league source said that the Rockets are willing to take one bad contract from the Magic and give up one of their three first-round draftees from June, a future pick and a veteran in exchange for Howard.

This stands in stark contrast to the ESPN.com report that Houston is trying to put together a package that would include various draftees and draft picks, while taking back multiple bad contracts.
