Report: Rockets would ask Olajuwon to help sell Dwight Howard on Houston

Hall of Fame center Hakeem Olajuwon tells Chris Tomasson of FoxSportsFlorida.com that he has been asked to speak to Dwight Howard about signing a contract extension with the Houston Rockets -- assuming that Houston is able to acquire Howard from the Orlando Magic.

"The Rockets asked me to reach out, and I'll talk to him (if the deal goes through)," Olajuwon said. "I'd like the talk to be more like real, and I'll let him make his decisions after that."

Howard worked out with Olajuwon at Olajuwon's ranch outside Houston last summer, so the two are familiar with one another.
